QS Manager/ CIVIL – Building Construction: PERM/ MNC/ TOWN Area

• Client: MNC, A1 Main Contractor.
• Location: Central Area just next to MRT
• Salary: $10k, Negotiable Based on Qualification, Experience & Capability.
• Project: Mega Building Projects
• Remuneration: 17 days annual leave with Year-end bonus + VB based on performance.

Requirements: “ NO WORK PASS ”

1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil or Construction Engineering.
2. Min 10 years of proven Singapore Building Construction projects experience as a Senior QS or QS Manager,
3. Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation techniques, and cost control procedures.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
6. Must have Good Written / Spoken English communication skills
7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
8. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry.
9. Able to read and understand structural drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Managed and oversaw quantity surveying activities, ensuring accurate cost estimation, control, and management throughout the project.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost estimates, and tender documents.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on cost-related matters to project teams, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Conduct regular cost assessments and prepare reports detailing project cost performance, variations, and potential risks.
• Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitor and track cost expenditure against budget, identifying deviations and implementing required corrective measures.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
